**Area manager, Accommodation systems division**:
As Area Manager in our Accommodation Systems Division, you will hold the overall responsibility of site activities in assigned areas within new building and modernization projects.

Additionally you will also hold the following specific responsibilities:

- Responsible for all activities within the designated area and would report directly to the Project Manager on site.
- Ensure, control, and monitor that all site activities are complied with:

- Applicable HSE related laws, rules, and regulations
- ALMACO Quality standards and applicable specifications
- Project and customer specific requirements and standards by qualified team members
- Hold main line responsibility in occupational safety matters concerning control of employees’ work safety in site activities performed under ALMACO’s direct supervision.
- Ensure that all projects follow ALMACO HSE policy, as well as local legislation onsite.
- Ensure that non-conformities are being observed, recorded and corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure that the project related activities and QHSE topics are regularly reviewed and updated together with the project team.
- Ensure that relevant HSEQ communication to be shared for all project stakeholders, including internal and external members, customers, contractors, external resources, etc.
- Ensuring that assigned projects are delivered with best possible result (quality, delivery time, cost, and resources)
- Managing a dedicated area on the project and leading the site team from project start-up until delivery
- Planning and scheduling the project together with the site team on regular basis.
- Control and report project area progress and financial status as per ALMACO internal process
- Reporting project area progress as defined by the Project Manager
- Handling customer site and subcontractor contacts during the project
- Recording of all variation or change orders in the logbooks.
- Assisting Project Manager to calculate variation and change orders towards customer and subcontractors.
- Proactive risk analysis, risk management and risk mitigation in all project phases
- Deputize Site team members during their absence.
- Carry out such other tasks within the job holder’s capability as requested by the Project Manager

To be successful in this position, you will need to have:

- Adequate professional requirements
- Technical or naval architecture education including leadership studies.
- Minimum 5 years of project or construction manager work experience
- Good knowledge of Marine and Offshore shipbuilding industry is an advantage, especially project site management skills and related rules and regulations.
- Occupational safety training
- First aid training - not mandatory
- High level competency of contracts and financials
- Skills in project planning, delegating, and organizing.
- Leadership, negotiation, communication, and team building skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of MS Office Programs including MS Project
- Good knowledge of Auto-Cad and ERP
