Important pharmaceutical company is looking for an Alliance Manager in Translational Medicine. In this position you will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

The scope of the Early Oncology (EO) Translational Medicine (TM) Alliance Management Team is to manage the outsourcing strategy across the EO TM organization; ensure our suppliers deliver to the needs of the organization; and to develop strong, beneficial partnerships with key suppliers.

You will provide support for business critical partners that require a single TM point of contact. These are typically diagnostic partners, complex collaborations or partnerships where enterprise wide prioritization is needed. Remit will also include prioritized retrospective/exploratory scientific collaborations and pilot studies focused on technology development.

The role of the Alliance Manager is to manage one or more supplier(s) or outsourcing models within the EO TM team. You will be responsible for ensuring the supplier(s) and / or model(s) are meeting the needs of the Translational Medicine Leads (TMLs) and ensure that selected partners deliver to contract and that strong relationships with the external suppliers are created and maintained.

We expect you to ensure the maintenance and oversight of supplier / model, ensuring seamless execution, quality and timely delivery of relevant scope of work deliverables and to manage operational governance of the supplier(s) / model(s) and participate in other governance as required. May include co-ordination and / or participation at executive level governance meetings. You will also define and monitor quality and performance of service deliverables in alignment with the project requirements.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Provide Alliance Management support for Early Oncology Translational Medicine business critical partnerships, retrospective studies, prospective studies with non-registrational intent, new development opportunities and scientific collaborations

Manage day to day interactions with TM’s key partners, including liaison with senior managers and project teams both internally and externally to build collaboration and trust

Maintain oversight of all programs with a partner, and be the “Go to person for the partnership” especially for issue resolution, contracting and governance

Alliance Manager is the key point of contact within TM for a dedicated partner and provides agreement templates for TMLs to complete, ensuring consistency in terms and pricing as well as communicating prioritization needs back to the vendor

Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Business Development, Precision Medicine to establish new relationships/maintain current working relationships, contribute to contracting process to meet project timelines

Liaise with Translational Medicine Leads and TM Operations Leads for early stage drug project work and to execute TM biomarker strategy

Liaise with Translational Medicine Leadership Team (TMLT) to forecast future biomarker strategy and implementation with our partners

Take the initiative to introduce and design new systems and tools as needed, aimed at streamlining our ways of working with TM partners. These solutions may be tailored to key collaborators or designed as an overall strategy for TM, ultimately addressing any gaps or deficiencies and incorporating process improvements

Collect information regarding capabilities, services and upcoming new offerings of new vendors, and form connections and business relationships with new partners to facilitate early stage drug project work, retrospective/exploratory collaborations, or technology development pilot studies, to meet the scientific needs of the TMLs and TMLT.

**Essential Requirements**:
Advanced university degree in related discipline with demonstrated relevant experience in the industry as well as 1+ years proven applied experience as an Alliance Manager in an externally facing position supporting one or more business critical partnerships

Scientific background in the translational pathology space sufficient to allow for technical understanding of service deliverables (e.g. study management, data management, analysis and reporting)

Highly motivated with organizational skills demonstrating a strong attention to detail

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to clearly communicate

Highly developed problem solving, risk management and collaborative working skills

Ability to act as an external ambassador and to influence external organizations

Demonstrated experience working successfully with external partners

Experienced and comfortable working in a matrixed environment

Understanding of and adaptable to working variances of different countries and different cultures

Strong interpersonal and team player skills, demonstrating flexibility and a proven ability to deal with complexity under time pres
