**IDIBELL is looking for a **part-time molecular biology technician (25h/week) to join the Gene Regulation of Cell Identity lab**
**About the research group**
**Research at the Gene Regulation of Cell Identity Group** aims at understanding how post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms and their regulators, mainly RBPs and miRNAs, are involved in the establishment of cellular identity and how their dysregulation contributes to the development of neurodegenerative diseases. For this purpose, we use iPSCs to model neural differentiation in humans and study their differentiation process using a combination of molecular biology techniques with high-throughput omics and computational tools.

- **About the role**
The successful applicant will provide support to other wet-lab scientists for the development of several research projects ongoing in the lab. Duties will include working with induced pluripotent stem cells, CRISPR/Cas9 and single-cell transcriptomics. Additionally, it will also provide support to managerial tasks like buffer preparation, aliquoting, ordering, and material stocking.

Professional experience
- Demonstrated experience working in a wetlab
Education and training
- Bachelor in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology or similar or a Superior Lab Technician Education
Technical skills
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques such as immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence, western blot and DNA/RNA work such as purification, cloning and qPCRs.
- Experience with cell culture
Languages
- Good command of the English language
**We will value, but not required**
- Prior experience with single-cell transcriptomics or high-throughput sequencing
- iPSC cell culture and differentiation
- Experience working in a neurobiology lab
