Description

Headquartered by the port of Barcelona, Spain, develops supercomputer and cloud-based Virtual Humans to revolutionize the assessment and personalization of both drug and device-based therapies. Our customers are pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, CROs, regulatory bodies and healthcare professionals.

Our product is V.Heart, a cloud-deployed modeling tool, accessible through a frontend. V.Heart allows the user to assess a treatment’s security and efficacy performance on cohorts of Virtual Humans. The Virtual Humans are avatars which are created thanks to our mathematical models. The core modeling tool is a multi-physics software, Alya, born in the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, which models the cardiovascular and respiratory systems from cell to organ level.

Leveraging the power of supercomputers, ELEM allows to test medical therapies considering different age groups, genders, and diseases, to assess risk and improve go-to-market for the medtech and pharmaceutical industries.

You will:

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to provide automated compilation, assembly, and testing of containerized and non-containerized components.
- Improve cloud product reliability, availability, maintainability, and cost/benefit—including developing fault-tolerant tools to ensure general robustness of the cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement novel solutions to automate cloud-environment provisioning.
- Collaborate with developers and other technologists in the engineering team to continuously improve the engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security.
- Responsible for managing capacity across public and private cloud resource pools, including automating scale-down/-up of environments.
- Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Code with design principles in mind.

**Conocimientos requeridos imprescindibles**:
**Requirements**:

- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in cloud dev
- Experience in IaC (e.g., Terraform) & using Ansible to orchestrate server administration
- Experience building virtual machine images (e.g. Packer)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deploying containerized services with Docker
- Experience with configuring, deploying, and operating public cloud services (e.g. OCI)
- Experience managing & monitoring HPC clusters
- Deep knowledge in networking features in AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, AWS Client VPN)
- Product development in a scaled agile environment with an awareness of DevOps methodologies and ability/mindset to drive rapid prototyping and piloting of cloud solutions
- Experience in securing cloud infrastructures
- Experience in agile development
- Experience in bash scripting

Education and soft skills needed
- MS or BS Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or similar background
- Punctual and flexible
