Intellectual Property Engineer-viladecavalls

MISSION
Manage the Ficosa Group Intellectual Property portfolio and the technical advice regardless the Intellectual Property of third companies.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Advise the R&D department in all patent issues.

Cooperate with domestic and foreign patent attorneys.

Conduct the patent and Infringement studies.

Conduct the patent Drafting & Patent review.

Organize and implement worldwide training of employees in Intellectual Property matters.

Search patents (patentability, infringement, comments, oppositions / re-examinations, license negotiations).

Conduct surveys of the state of the technique (new potential business areas).

Write and review patents.

Track changes in domestic patent during prosecution thereof.

Assess the external patent inventors.

Conduct violation.

Control the technology Watch Program alerts.

Assess the external patent and trademark agencies, and providers of legal information (patents, competitive intelligence).

Contact Agencies Patents for technical issues.

Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

**Academic background**:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering

**Languages**:
Fluent English (spoken and written)

**Experience**:
Minimum of 3 years in a similar position

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

**Additional training**:
Specific master / advanced course for intellectual property would be of additional value

**Additional language**:
Fluent English (written and spoken)
