_Field Service Engineer _to join our dynamic team Here at Elekta, you will make a difference working in state-of-the-art equipment and software to assure that our customers focus their time on fighting against cancer and build hope to their patients

What you’ll do

The Field Service engineers are responsible for the installation and servicing of all Elekta products in Extremadura, specifically providing support in Extremadura and other relevant areas. Ideally the job holder will live in or around the Badajoz area. Engineers are informed by the Service Team Leader which work needs to be undertaken and are then expected to work under their own initiative to complete the tasks appointed. If necessary, problems or issues are escalated to the Local Elekta office.

Activities include planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers and telephone support either from the office in Madrid or from a remote location.

Technically the work involves a very diverse skill set including fault finding complex electronic systems down to component level, HT and RF power generation, vacuum systems, water systems, pressurized gas systems, mechanical assemblies, and adjustment of the radiation beam to achieve the required output specification.

What you bring
- Excellent knowledge and proven skills in electronics, mechanics, pc’s & servers, networking, high vacuum, high/low voltage & current, diagnostic equipment and a general knowledge of engineering disciplines.
- Strong customer focus and have excellent customer service skills to ensure that all customers are provided with high quality care and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in English and Spanish.
- Experience in a service environment is desirable.

- Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in engineering and/or electronics is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Clean driving license
- Willingness to travel when required (trainings out of the country and occasional multi-days interventions or travels outside Spain)
