Role Purpose:
The Engineer Process Operation will lead and manage reliability and maintenance activities in the Utiel Cluster. Organize, optimize the activities (machines, equipment, roads, mobile equipment quarries), mechanically and electrically, in the site within the agreed cost budget to achieve the service level and the efficiency required. All this is to be done in a sustainable (using planned/preventive maintenance) and safe way according to the organization’s policy, guidelines and Sibelco values.

He/she will also develop and utilize effective tools and systems for measuring reliability of the production process. This includes being responsible for providing engineering support for maintenance planning/supervision, operation and maintenance of the plant, developing and implementing programmatic methods to ensure safe operation and high equipment reliability/availability, cost effective maintenance, and continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to:
- Safety leadership- Drive Process Engineering projects in the cluster/site from idea to operational ramp up.- Design new, innovative minerals and materials processes and adapt existing ones to improve efficiency, safety, sustainability and cost efficiency- Support Sibelco production sites to promote operational excellence and provide technical best practices and to ensure safe (HSE-compliant), efficient, effective, innovative, scalable and sustainable operations.- Lead and /or participate (hands-on) in activities related to the Operational Excellence (OpEX) program in the cluster. He /She leads research and develop new ideas or solutions that contribute to create plants and systems in a cost-effective and efficient way.- Share knowledge and good practices with peers and project stakeholders by proper reporting in the relevant system- Lead the development of the equipment maintenance strategy.

- Experience as a Maintenance Leader in a manufacturing or mining environment- Engineering experience, including experience with mechanical design/testing, international quality standards.- Experience in utility systems/management and/or facilities/plant management and maintenance.- Ability to motivate/convince people without having the authority over them (ability to lead) and to think out of the box.- Fluent in English. Strong communication skills, you are comfortable interacting with different levels in the organization.
