Mid QA Engineer

The Engineer will be working closely with Business Analysts and Development Teams across a range of projects, ensuring that the quality assurance and control processes are adhered to and will demonstrate desire, enthusiasm and commitment to learning our current QA processes.

**What you will be doing**:

- Translate business requirements and specifications into test plans and test cases;
- Write test data scripts, based on ETL mapping artifacts;
- Execute data scripts and detailed analysis on the scripts and document test results in Test Case Management System;
- Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status;
- Troubleshoot and document bugs and defects using bug tracking system and assists in their resolution;

**Required experience and skills**:

- 3+ year of experience with data pipeline and software quality assurance;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Knowledge of ETL tool and process;
- Knowledge of basic Database objects and relational data model;
- 3+ years experience with SQL querying and scripting;
- Confidence to question when requirements or designated tasks are ambiguous / unclear;
- Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to efficiently manage own time;
- Aptitude to improve / develop technical and non-technical testing skills;
- High attention to detail and methodical approach to test preparation and execution;

**Desirable **experience and skills**
- Experience with automated testing tools;
- Understanding of Data Pipeline requirements (source-to-target mappings);
- Knowledge of Python and Python data libraries or other programming languages (e.g., Pandas);
