**Job Description**:
**Working in Risk**

As part of our growth strategy, Statkraft is expanding its Origination activities across Europe.

Currently, we have long-term renewable energy portfolios of third-party contracts in various European markets consisting of tailor-made Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with generators and long-term sales contracts to large end customers. As well as other non-standard flexible and structured wholesale products.

**Your role**

As a Market Risk Analyst (M/F/d) and as part of Statkraft’s Risk Management team you will work on an independent assessment of Statkraft’s Origination and Market Access portfolios in Continental Europe. This includes in particular:

- Regular report on P&L and risks of the origination portfolio
- Studying the fundamentals of energy markets in which we operate
- Supporting our risk evaluation of transactions and deal structures prior to deal closure
- Contributing to the improvement of our risk analysis tool kit for renewable energy assets by means of Python

**Qualifications**:
We look for a Market Risk Analyst with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes:

- Advanced university degree in a quantitative discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or Statistics
- Programming experience (e.g. Python, Matlab or R)
- Proactive team player with integrity and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and confident approach towards stakeholders
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
