In addition to its own products, BASF Española S.L. markets more than 5,000 products from the BASF Group: chemical, organic and inorganic products, catalysts; phytosanitary products, plastic materials, dispersions and raw materials for the inks, paints, plastics, paper, ceramics and cosmetics industry.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Research Officer has an important role within the ARS Experimental Station - Utrera, since that is the profesional responsible to support the effective execution of all research activities, for the assigned indication(s), at the research station.
- Be a real player in the implementation of research protocols to support the discovery, selection/justification, development of new plant protection compounds and technologies.
- Evaluation of all assigned trials and accurate data management and reports.
- Develop the Digital tools within daily work based on the Digital needs or tools being developing for the specific indication.
- Conducts laboratory, field and greenhouse trials which characterize the biological activity and properties of experimental and commercial plant protection compounds, for the assigned indication or projects.
- Ensures the correct handle of the samples and its trace in the internal program.
- Understands the research objectives and follows the priorities of the assigned trial program, respecting the timelines.
- Uses the appropriate methodology that allows an optimum differentiation between treatments and answers all research objectives.
- Maintains accurately the database for assigned projects/conducted trials.
- Provides feedback to Indication Manager regarding the key learnings of the trial and proposes recommendations.
- Discusses with the Indication Manager and Field Specialist the agricultural practices to be implemented to ensure the adequate evolution of the crop at the trial. Includes the management of the selection of crop varieties, seeding, irrigation.
- Responsible of the adequate irrigation of crops, including the programming of the irrigation, accurate estimation of irrigation needs, continuous follow up of the crop status, etc.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University Degree in Agronomic Engineering, Biology or similar studies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Agricultural experimentation of phytosanitary product trials.
- High level of English is required.
- Self-Leadership and good interdisciplinary relations.
- Think out of the box.
- Proactivity.
- Good and transparent communication.
