Rapha is immersed in a technological change of its eCommerce platform to adjust it to a more modern model and closer to new technologies.
In this exciting journey of transformation, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help support our migration to a composable commerce architecture.
This will involve close collaboration not only with other members of the company's technical department but with other key people in various teams.
**THE ROLE**:
Our platform is based on micro front end architecture (usually comprising Next.js + GraphQL) and back end Node.js microservices running in AWS.
Our engineers work in interdisciplinary squads each arranged around clear migration or feature enhancement goals with responsibility for delivery of their own roadmaps.
In the role, you will:
- Support the technology team with the migration and redevelopment of our ecommerce platform.
- Translate business requirements into technical functional requirements/user stories
- Exhibit excellent written & verbal communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to be clear, concise and accurate, capable of interacting with technical and non-technical audiences.
**THE CANDIDATE**:
- Previous experience of working with modern JavaScript-focused front-end frameworks and technologies - Node.js, Next.js framework, React and associated libraries and tooling including GraphQL (Apollo), Styled-Components and Jest.
- Experience working in a resilient and scalable microservices environment - our API event-based services layer is built mainly on the AWS Serverless stack - Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Kinesis and DynamoDB4
- In depth understanding of modern CI/CD and engineering tooling - we use AWS, Gitlab Pipelines and Terraform extensively
- Extensive experience working with technical and commercial partners outside of your own team. We rely on strong technical relationships with friends at Cloudinary, Contentful, Algolia and Commerce Layer
- Able to delegate engineering tasks to balance your workload and enable individual growth of other engineers
