- The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 900 staff from 55 countries.

**Context And Mission**
- The BSC is responsible for coordinating the support for the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES) and its dissemination activities. The Spanish Supercomputing Network is one of the Spanish ICTS (Infraestructuras Científicas y Técnicas Singulares) and it is composed by the most powerful supercomputers of Spain.
- The BSC is also responsible for coordinating the Spanish Center of competences in HPC, HPDA and AI, under the EuroCC2 network.
- We are looking for a person to join the Operations Department, to support the coordination of the activities of the various institutions from different perspectives.**Key Duties**
- Support to the management of the Spanish Supercomputing Network
- Coordination and Organization of RES and EuroCC seminars with the objective to encourage the use of supercomputing.
- Support the organization of the RES User Conference and EuroCC events
- Management and organization of training courses for RES and EuroCC projects
- Coordination and organization of regular meetings for the control and monitoring of the RES and EuroCC projects
- Preparation of reviews and deliverables for the national grants related with the RES and EuroCC projects
- Support the update of the communication plan for the RES ICTS.

**Requirements**:

- Education
- Bachelor or Master degree (fields like Business, Science, Engineering, Technology, preferred.)
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Minimum one year of experience in project management.
- Minimum one year of experience in scientific events organization and management.
- Experience in job-related activities.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience in the field of digital transformation of companies (mainly SMEs) will be highly valuated.
- Knowledge of the Catalan and Spanish innovation ecosystem.
- Competences
- Good level of English.
- Capacity to organize her/his own agenda and work plans.
- Proactive person and good communicator.
- Availability to travel in Europe, sometimes at a short notice, to attend relevant events.
- Ability to work independently or in teams when required.

**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Operations Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: as soon as possible
