**SANTANDER DIGITAL SERVICES is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in one of our Hubs in Boadilla del Monte ,Cantabria and Málaga.**

**UK Tower is the Santander UK Nearshoring strategy vehicle in Santander Digital Services located in Spain, to provide technology workforce and services directly to Santander UK that will work together and for UK Technology teams.**

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

As a **Senior DevOps Engineer **, you will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate software projects in a highly dynamic and inventive environment.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

- Identifying, planning, and implementing solutions to improve the reliability, resilience and efficiency of the public cloud environment by developing innovative and automated processes.
- Providing high level advice on technical solutions and priorities for the infrastructure function.
- Focusing on day-to-day operations, delivery of new services and solutions and capacity planning to ensure IT infrastructure meets the current and future requirements of the organization.
- Ensuring the provision of full-service delivery, undertaking, and supporting structure planning to ensure sufficient system capacity is made available.
- Resolving complex technical issues and providing senior technical solutions in response to queries from across the business as well as from within IT.
- Analyzing technical specifications of systems infrastructure and communication platforms, to meet the needs of San UK
- Train the development team on design patterns and performance tuning strategies. Be passionate about making nitty gritty, hands-on improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers to further their technical prowess. You succeed when your team does

EXPERIENCE
- + **5 years **of related experience.

EDUCATION
- University degree in technology, preferably in computer science.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of DevOps tooling and methodologies including code repositories, bug tracking tools, Confluence, JIRA etc.
- Knowledge of IT incident management: ability to investigate, troubleshoot, recover and prevent the recurrence of incidents that interfere with the normal delivery of IT services.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Skills and experience in Change Control/Incident management of leading the recovery of infrastructure outages.
- A strong understanding of API orchestration, combined with languages such as Python to implement automated solutions and interactions between core management services such as Dynatrace, AWS, ServiceNow etc.
- Experience in software development and/or system administration, with a focus on reliability, availability, and scalability.
- Strong focus on design and delivery, taking complex problems and delivering well documented and tested solutions to those problems.
