**The Team**:
The EMEA Logistics team manages all Warehousing & Logistical supply chain operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems and ensuring compliance with both Local and Internal regulations. This is a dynamic and fast-moving team, responsible for facilitating the end-to-end supply of goods & services that allows us to service all our customers, both internal & external, for the EMEA region.

**The Opportunity**:
Mattel is currently seeking an Associate DC Manager for the near implementation of its new DC in Spain, based in Illescas, Toledo**. **The role will be to lead the Supply chain from Port of departure to delivery at the final customer. Monitoring the day-to-day planning, forecasting and operational requirements with 3PL and 4PL logístical partners & reporting of throughput volumes, productivities and inventory balances

The Associate DC manager is the central point between the Mattel Subsidiaries (Spain and Portugal), Mattel Europe (planning, IT) and the subcontractors (shipping lines, warehousing, and carriers). He /she is responsible for aligning inbound, warehousing, and outbound daily and seasonal capacities with the market needs.

The Associate DC manager is monitoring the performance of subcontractors through a set of KPI’s; he/she needs to identify where focus / corrective actions are needed. The Associate DC manager then does the follow up until completion of the corrective actions.

The Associate DC manager is the key responsible for meeting budget targets.

The Associate DC manager adds value to the supply chain in proposing optimisations on procedures and cost savings.

**What Your Impact Will Be**:
The main tasks of the Associate DC manager are to lead the day-to-day DC operations between Mattel and service providers:

- Planning:

- Collect and provide the forecasts for inbound, outbound, and promotional assembly to the service provider
- Project stock capacity needs
- 3PL management:

- Provide tools to monitor service providers performance and follow up the correct measurement
- Take corrective actions to meet KPI’s
- Provide tools to service providers to optimise service levels (daily shipping forecast, weekly inbound forecast, order typology, market tendencies, loading plans)
- Assist to implement with 3PL partner DC optimisation projects and to identify Improvement opportunities and resolve challenges
- Cost management:

- Tender unique special operations (co-pack, labelling) in order to optimize costs
- Perform complete invoice control (for service delivered)
- Budget the operations
- Communicate monthly accruals to Mattel Europe operations finance
- Follow up and gap-analysis on budget versus actual, corrective actions where needed
- People management:

- Manages a team of DC coordinators if required
- Problem management:

- Identify and solve imminent problems (capacity, quality, cost) and communicates in timely manner to Director DC operations
- Makes decisions on prioritization where needed
- Communication
- ensure correct and sufficient communication between 3PL’s and Mattel
- Quality management:

- Support subsidiaries / CPI in specific marketing and quality operations
- Ensures SOX compliancy and assists on internal and external Audits
- Assists insurance audits + follows up on corrective actions needed

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Educated or trained in Logistics - (preferably university degree)
- At least 3 years of experience in a logistics Management position
- Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office/Suite, Strong Microsoft Excel skills and data entry systems - PC Literate
- Bilingual in English, Spanish.
- Excellent Communication Skill: (both written and verbal) to effectively negotiate with carriers, suppliers, custom brokers, and internal/external customers
- Complex Problem Solving & Decision-Making skills: They should have the ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions using decision making skills that consider the relative cost & benefits of potential actions.
