**A brief description about us**:
Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is an exclusive 5-star hotel located on Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia, also home to several historic modernist works and architectural gems by Gaudi.

The hotel belongs to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group which is an international hotel management group with more than 38 luxury hotels, resorts and residences with a worldwide presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Mandarin Oriental Barcelona Hotel has 120 rooms, 28 of which are suites. All of our exquisite rooms and suites are uniquely decorated by Patricia Urquiola.

In addition to accommodation, the hotel has rooms that we rent for all kinds of events, such as weddings, meetings, business meetings...

Regarding the hotel's gastronomy, we have a 2 Michelin star restaurant, a wonderful cocktail bar, indoor garden Mimosa and the pool terrace where you can enjoy light dinners or spectacular views.

The hotel Spa consists of 8 treatment rooms, both facial and body, indoor pool and gym.

We are currently looking for new talent to join the IRD department as Room Service Waiter/tress.

**What will be the main functions you will perform in your position?**
- The IRD Server Overnight maintains all in room dining environment and equipment clean and tidy, delivers and serves in room orders to the hotel guest.

1. Major responsibilities:

- Support company philosophy and company culture through the use of the Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement
- Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement
- Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Guiding Principles and D.E.L.I.G.H.T as part of ensuring Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
- Set up tables or tray according to the order accurately in timely manner up to our standards as per side work description
- Deliver in room dining order to the guests in a timely manner, within the quoted time
- Assist Guest courteously and efficiently, providing service for any guest’s request
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to assist guests with suggestions and up sell our product, including liquors and cocktails.
- Pick up the table after the use by the guests or as per guest’s request.
- Do all the side works and preparations of the equipments for the continuation of the operation
- Make sure that all silver and glasses are polished and spotless
- Check accuracy of order before delivering - be sure it is complete.
- Make sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it.
- Verify guest satisfaction before leaving the room
- Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything
- Attend all food and beverage training classes
- Complied with change of schedule communication procedure
- To wish each and every guest a good day/evening before departing the room
- At the end of the shift deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place according to rules
- Setting and maintaining the in-room dining environment and material perfectly clean as per side work description.
- Following the posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet
- Attend daily pre meal/communication meeting
- Attend monthly department meeting
- Always carry a master key, bottle opener, and pager when delivering or picking up tables and trays.
- Generate a good atmosphere

- Side work duties include:

- Set up tables and trays
- Clean and polish glasses
- Clean and polish Silverware
- Folding napkins
- Clearing of tables and trays
- Clean the hot boxes
- Clean table legs
- Maintain the supplies up to the par (i.e. sodas, waters, sundries)
- Small assigned projects
- Maintain the cleanliness of the working area.
