System Engineer for Air to Air Refuelling- Fuel

A vacancy for a System Engineer in Fuel Systems for Air to Air refuelling Operations has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.

**Tasks & accountabilities**

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Mechanical & Mechatronic Development Engineering: Specify, Design,qualify and certify for Mechanical & Mechatronic Sub
- system / Equipment / Component / Module considering the following factors: Safety, Systems Performance, Cost, Environmental, Operational and Industrial Requirements.
- We act as a Design Office for the ATA48 (Air to Air Refuelling
- Fuel Systems) for the A330- MRTT, A400M and M&L platforms (C295). We also participate in the new developments of Air to Air Refuelling (AAR) capability for Airbus Products.
- Our responsabilities include the preliminary design, Architecture and definition of the AAR fuel systems (storage, pumping elements, distribution, control..) and AAR devices such as the Hose & Drogue Refuelling units. We are also responsible for the development, testing, certification and Continous Airworthiness of those systems.

**Required skills**
- Educated to degree level in Engineering (such as Aeronautic and/or Industrial).
- Experience level: more than 5 years of experience.
- English advanced.
- Proactive, curious and commited.
- Team worker.

It would be taken into account any past experience /knowledge in:

- Fuel and fluidodynamic simulations.
- Aerodynamics simulations.
- Fuel and fluidodynamic system components (pumps, valves,...) and their performances.
- A330 MRTT and A400M platforms and their AAR devices, including operation, maintenance, etc.
- Aeronautic Certification and qualification processes.
- Matlab / Simulink Knowledge.
- Python.
- AI and Data analytics.
