We are looking for a Data DevOps to join our Data Team in Sant Cugat del Valles.
The Data DevOps is a brand new role in our Data team which is pivotal to supporting the execution of our data transformation strategy at Fluidra. This role will provide you with the opportunity to embed best practice into the DevOps world whilst guiding a team on modern DevOps and Agile frameworks to help us revolutionise the way we deliver new technology.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned DevOps professional who possesses exceptional leadership skills with the natural ability to inspire and empower a team to deliver on our commitment to excellence. In this role you will play a strategic role to design, build and maintain infrastructure and software to help the firm run, grow and transform. This role is open to Barcelona (Sant Cugat) with hybrid working arrangements available.
**Main Tasks**:
- You will operate as a bridge between development, testing, network/infrastructure, operations, and system administrators to facilitate efficient, continuous, and high quality software delivery.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while balancing the BAU.
- DevOps represents a change in IT & DATA culture, you will focus on rapid delivery through the adoption of agile, lean practices in the context of a system-oriented approach.
- Adopt a scalable approach to DevOps by establishing dedicated platform teams to rapidly respond.
- Implement automation tools that can leverage an increasingly programmable and dynamic infrastructure from a life cycle perspective.
- Build, configure and maintain the frameworks, tools, and systems that enable optimal performance.
- Help mature our software development life cycle management to enable the production of high quality low-cost software in the shortest possible time.
- Integrate with all development, quality assurance, network, cloud and on-perm server and storage teams.
- Establish a DevOps Community Of Practice (CoP) to encourage members to bring ideas and observations to the community, where concepts are discussed and refined.
- Establish, implement, and enforce appropriate frameworks to meet business and cyber security requirements.
**Knowledge Preferred**:
- Continuous Integration - skilled in the tooling and principles of continually building, testing, and integrating the software that developers produce.
- Continuous Deployment - skilled in the automation of the deployment of the artefacts produced by the CI.
- Configuration Management - practice good configuration and source code control of all artefacts.
- Cloud Platforms - should be confident with the configuration of a least one public or private Cloud platform.
- Operating Systems - should be able to configure and maintain operating system ecosystem.
- Containerization - experience with at least one containerization platform and orchestration tool.
- Databases - should be able to deploy and maintain different database management systems and understand enough to fault find issues.
- Legacy infrastructures - need to be able to understand the legacy technology in certain projects.
**Skills Preferred;**
- Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills with both business and technical groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong project management and organisation skills with a good understanding of Agile delivery frameworks.
- Highly collaborative with a solution-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
- Exceptional strategic/commercial focus
- You will have experience as a hands-on DevOps Engineer, with strong knowledge on AWS, SnowFlake, Informatica ETL and recommend on cloud architecture design, products and service
- Degree in Computer Science or related + 7 years professional experience in a DevOps capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment. Must have a practical understanding of DevOps principles and experience leading a DevOps team.
- Experience working with global teams placed in different locations is a plus

- Awareness of contemporary IT infrastructure engineering, technologies, and management methodologies
- Strong Windows Server (2019+ skills)
- Strong Linux: EL 6/7/8 (CentOS, Red Hat, OEL)
- Message Queue: Kafka
- Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes. Similar container orchestration stacks such as Swarm, DCOS, Rancher etc.
