We are looking for one of our clients in the renewable energy sector located in Madrid, a Projects Director for Africa.

**Responsabilities**:
Responsible for all aspects of Projects from inception to handover, not limited to preliminary analysis, pre-development works, contracting, construction, and final commissioning, in accordance with the technical, financial, quality, safety and budget objectives.

Ensure Project execution in compliance with the contractual obligations, licensing procedures, shareholders’ policies and coordinating all relevant activities during execution of the Project.

Responsibility for supporting Project Managers in allocating resources in order to guarantee comprehensive safety of individuals involved in the tasks to be performed on site.

Management of Project interfaces with Owners, Offtakers, local Regulators and other stakeholders, and between the various subcontractors.

Continuous reporting to Owner and the stakeholders, ensuring that the information therein contained is reliable and complete, including identification of Project risks and proposed mitigation actions.

Implementation of Project Risk Register and Quality Management Plan.

Ensure the implementation of HSE management plan during the construction period, following-up on incidents, accidents and related reporting and root cause analysis.

Implement Emergency preparedness and Response Procedures

Oversee compliance with all local requirements, processes and company policies.

Track project costs and provide regular detailed cash flow projections.

Prepare daily updates and submit weekly reports to the owner and disseminate to internal staff.

Provide progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required.

Serve as senior point-of-contact for other external stakeholders.

**Requirements**:
5 years of experiencen working in a similar position for renewables energy africans projects

Willingness to travel extensively to project locations in Africa.

Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills

Able to provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel.

Proactive in prioritising own workload and assigned areas of responsibility to others

Able to influence assertively to get results.

Must be able to work independently, and work across many different functions including engineering, procurement, finance, accounting and legal.

High Level of proficiency with MS Office suite products

English, French, Spanish (other languages)
