**The Institute**

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. **The role**

You will be responsible for chromatin extraction and sample preparation for either proteomic or western blot analysis. You will perform cloning, cell culture, qPCR, ChIPseq, sample preparation for gene expression analysis, immunofluorescence. You will work on several projects at the same time, helping the project leaders to carry out the experiments necessary for the progress of their projects.

**About the lab**

Our laboratory specializes in high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics and cell and molecular biology techniques. We are a group of about 10 people from different cultures and countries. We are part of the genome biology department at the CRG, and we aim to understand why metabolic enzymes localize to the nuclear environment and participate in specific chromatin functions.

**Professional experience**

**Must Have**
- You have more than 5 years of experience as research technician
- You have proven experience in cell culture, cloning, western blot, qPCR
- You have experience in chromatin proteomics
- You have experience in immunofluorescence

**Desirable but not required/ Nice to have**
- You have experience with customizable image analysis pipelines
- You have knowledge of cancer biology, in particular breast cancer

**Education and training**
- You have a Certificate of Higher Education as a research technician or bachelor's/master's degree in biological sciences or a related field

**Languages**
- You are proficient in English
