For our production site in Almonte,** Spain** we are looking for a **Purchaser** who has a passion for agronomy and has a commercial drive.

What are you going to do?
As a buyer at SVZ you are responsible to ensure availability of our raw materials that meet our production requirements and contribute to the development of the Procurement department. You will be in close contact with Procurement at HQ in the Netherlands, Supply Chain, QA, Sustainability and Plant Operations. You will report to the Team Lead Procurement in the Netherlands. Furthermore:

- You are responsible for the purchasing of our raw materials: red fruit (mainly strawberries) and vegetables;
- for that you are in close contact with the growers and expand and maintain this relationship on a day-to-day basis;
- you formulate and present possible procurement (buying) opportunities & directions in line with the procurement objectives;
- you provide market insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments such as prices of raw materials, harvest developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses of both results and (buying) process indicators;
- you coordinate, execute, maintain and/or improve procurement administrative processes and systems (contracts with suppliers).

What do you bring with you?
A Bachelor degree in food technology, agriculture or economics and/or 4- 6 years commercial experience in B2B in the food industry, preferably in the fruit and vegetables. You have good technical knowledge in agro-supply and raw material. A good command of spoken and written Spanish and English language and strong negotiation skills. Furthermore you have a can-do-mentality and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with growers, manufacturers and internal organization.
