**UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT**

**Your new role**
- Awareness and understanding of the annual business plan for the respective business unit
- Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met
- Adhere to underwriting standards and good practice to minimize risk and maximize efficiency in line with process control time frames
- Contribute to recording and measurement of insurance risks to ensure accuracy, good practice and adherence to relevant performance standards (as prescribed by quality review process
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, extended service team, customers and brokers to be able to work collaboratively and effectively
- Ensure accurate underwriting data is captured on systems to minimize risk and ensure high quality output of information
- Prepare documents to ensure that appropriate records are established and accuracy of records is maintained
- Conduct research and prepare reports and back up information to support the team to assist the business planning process
- Assist with the production of management information statistics and reports to support the business planning process
- Support underwriting through general administration to ensure delivery of a professional service
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver superior service standards as part of the extended service team

**About you**
- Previous experience in underwriting assistant role
- Good organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- A team player with great communication skills
- Commercially aware
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Flexible approach and ability to recognise and adapt to changing business requirements
- Accuracy and attention to detail.

**Preferred knowledge**:

- Basic understanding of class specific underwriting knowledge
- Strong understanding of defined process standards
- Experience to insurance environment.

- Contribuir al registro y medición de riesgos para asegurar precisión, buenas prácticas y cumplimiento con los estándares de rendimiento relevantes (según lo prescrito por el proceso de revisión de calidad)
- Desarrollar y mantener relaciones de trabajo efectivas con stakeholders internos y externos, incluidos colegas, equipo de servicio extendido, clientes y corredores para poder trabajar de manera colaborativa y efectiva
- Asegurar que los datos de suscripción se capturen con precisión en los sistemas para minimizar riesgos y asegurar una salida de información de alta calidad
- Preparar documentos para asegurar que se establezcan registros apropiados y se mantenga la precisión de los registros
- Realizar investigaciones y preparar informes e información de respaldo para apoyar al equipo en el proceso de planificación del negocio
- Ayudar en la producción de estadísticas e informes de información de gestión para apoyar el proceso de planificación del negocio
- Apoyar la suscripción a través de la administración general para asegurar la entrega de un servicio profesional
- Trabajar en colaboración con colegas para ofrecer estándares de servicio superiores como parte del equipo de servicio extendido
