**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**a) Mission of the position**b) Responsibilities**
- Supervise chimney emission, smells and industrial water quality in URSA factories. Identify and investigate problems and propose corrective actions.
- Develop and/or implement solutions for pollutant measurement/control, thru specific projects.
- Support factories on acute/unanticipated environmental crisis.
- Be up to date on environmental regulations, measurement methods and abatement technologies for gas and water streams.
- Support URSA representatives before European industrial bodies.

**c) Main tasks**
- Lead or participate in R&D / factory implementation projects.
- Hands-on work in laboratories (R&D Lab in Tarragona or factory labs) and in factories (chimney, industrial water, etc.), pending project needs.
- Technological monitoring. Attendance to fairs and congresses, and European forums.
- Internal documentation and reporting.
- Frequent meetings with URSA factories, internal departments, external suppliers and institutes.

**d) Organization**:

- Reports to URSA R&D Manager
- The position has no people in charge
- This is an entry position, which is expected to evolve to a senior Technical Leader position, with a functional reporting from all the Environmental responsible colleagues in URSA plants.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**a) Education**:

- Chemist or Chemical Engineer, preferably with specialization in Environmental Work.**b) Professional Experience**:

- Ideally 3-year experience in similar position, preferably in a multinational chemical / manufacturing industrial environment, with:
- Good understanding of technical topics, theory and practical experience in labs and factories.
- Good understanding of European regulation, practices, etc.

**c) Soft skills**:

- Excellent project management skills, disciplined and well organized.
- Good collaboration and communication skills within dynamic organizations, with people of diverse background, nationality and culture.
- Proactive and focused on finding best solutions for the company in the long-term.
- Inquisitive, curious, strong data analysis.

**d) Language skills**:

- Fluent in English
- Preferably fluent in Spanish, French and/or German

**e) Travel availability**: up to 40 % of working time across European factories (Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Italy), depending on project needs.**f) Incorporation to URSA**: Immediately.**Our Social Responsibilities**
