**Accountable System Owner**

**Purpose**:
The accountable System Owner is accountable for the compliance of the provisioning of the DTEF-GDA IT assets. The incumbent ensures a harmonized approach on System Ownership by alignment with the compliance organizations, specifically with focus on regulated systems. He plays a critical link between the Business Owner, auditing organizations, responsible System Owner and central compliance organizations. The accountable System Owner aligns the compliance for DTEF-GDA IT assets with internal and external stakeholders.

- Central Quality Organization

External/Extern:

- External Suppliers (Apollo and Non-Apollo)

**Scope**:Global

**Key Tasks (Primary Responsibilities)**:

- Accountable for implementation of legal and regulatory protection, security, retention, and archiving requirements according to Bayer group regulations and procedures for the relevant systems in GD&A scope
- Accountable for having processes implemented that ensure the compliant operation, change management, access management and availability of the IT asset as requested by the respective Business Owner
- Accountable for implementation and delivery of additional measures defined by regulations such as GxP or ICS
- Ensure adequate segregation of duties to ensure that no one single person can independently make a change and deploy the change to the production environment
- Liaises with responsible System Owner(s) to ensure controls and reports are setup to safeguard the operation of Bayer IT assets

**Qualifications & Competencies**:

- Bachelor’s degree in fields related to computer science or engineering
- Many years of experience in designing, developing, deploying or managing ERP solutions in a large-scale, highly complex global environment with a focus on compliance topics
- highly complex global environment with a focus on ERP compliance issues
- Has knowledge in the area of IT System Ownership and related compliance areas
- Experienced with change management on ERP systems
- Customer facing experience and presentation skills with executives and end-users (customers)
- Understands the needs of the business and external environment and their impact on System compliance
- Experience in regulations like SOX and GxP
- Experience with relevant Bayer group regulations and their implementation is a plus
- Good analytical and conceptional capabilities
- Ability to learn and adapt new topics quickly
- Ability to challenge, convince and to guide stakeholders
