**Medical Scientific Liaison - Diabetes**

This is a position based in the Alicante or Murcia area.

**The position**

As our Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) -also known in other companies as Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL)
- you will enable scientific dialogue with relevant health care professionals based on marketing portfolio strategy -in cross functional collaboration with other internal stakeholders (Medical Managers, Clinical Operations, Sales, Market Access and Marketing)
- with the aim to position Novo Nordisk as the preferred partner in Diabetes.

You will manage yourself leadership in order to maximize your region’s results.

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

- Optimise ad-hoc opportunities for relevant academic and professional collaboration in the interests of the current and future business needs and developing project proposals in support of a business case for local funding and initiatives.
- Provide quality medical and scientific support, education and training to internal & external customers.
- Facilitate local Advisory Boards and provide academic contribution before and during the meeting.
- Provide medical support of local needs for the development portfolio including identification of sites for clinical trials, assessment of feasibility and patient recruitment through Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) relationships.
- Plan (analysis & diagnosis) and execute the Regional Medical Plan (Medical Guidance, KOL Engagement, Medical Education, Clinical Activities and Publication Plan) with the Healthcare Professionals assigned, aligned with the Regional Business Plan.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum Life Science Bachelor (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Psychology, Veterinary ).
- At least 3 years of experience in a Medical Affairs position within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in diabetes.
- Communication, negotiation and networking skills.
- Protagonist attitude, focus on business results, self-leadership, team spirit, courageous and transparent communication.
- Fluent in Spanish and in English. Availability to travel.

**About the Department**

CMR (Clinical, Medical & Regulatory) department has a headcount around 65 employees across multiple teams such as Clinical Research, CMR effectiveness, Medical Affairs, Regulatory and Safety.

Medical Affairs is the area responsible for timely and credible scientific dialogue. The Regional Medical Advisor belongs to a highly motivated team with a good understanding of Medical Affairs combined with a business mindset. This role will be reporting to the RMA Manager.
