**About this Role**

We're looking for a Vice President Commercial, EMEA to join Apeel's growing Sales team. In this role, you'll play a critical role in developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for Apeel's products throughout EMEA and other global markets. The Commercial VP will ideally have many produce connections and industry knowledge as well as exceptional communication and leadership skills. As Apeel is looking to expand into new categories, you will work closely with the Technology and Operations leadership team in expanding the presence and value of Apeel across supplier and retail partners in the region.

This position will report to the _Senior Vice President, Commercial_ and will be remote based in the EU. We're looking for someone to join our team immediately.

**What You'll Do**
- Collaborate with our internal teams to refine and commercialize our pipeline of categories and products, market fit and corresponding treatment processes
- Develop effective sales strategies that promote the commercial activities across all Apeel's category supply chain solutions. This includes conducting industry research, identifying target customers, and developing go-to-market plans
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, retailers and suppliers, to achieve sales targets. You will be responsible for developing opportunities throughout the EMEA market and collaborate with the SVP, Americas on strategic global partnerships.
- You will analyze market data to understand how the sales strategies are performing and to identify areas for improvement including using analytics tools to track sales trends, customer behavior, and other metrics
- You will be responsible for financial performance and P&L management for Apeel's EMEA Commercial business including a focus on increasing sales volume, revenue per sale, program cost control and ensuring long-term customer retention
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, innovation, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives
- Manage a team of supplier/retailer category focused professionals and provide guidance and mentorship to support their professional growth and development
- Work closely with Apeel Labs in developing and commercializing new and upcoming commodities or products
- Build a pipeline of new customers across various categories by fostering and developing relationships that will lead to future business opportunities

**What You Bring**
- A minimum of 10+ years with fresh produce, food technology or grocery industry experience
- Experience developing and implementing successful sales programs with leading produce growers and packers
- Proven ability to collaborate and partner with senior executives (e.g., CEO, executive leadership team) and key stakeholders to drive market expansion efforts.
- Demonstrated success in growing revenue, improving performance, enhancing systems, and transitional leadership
- Successful record of developing data-driven strategic plans and building innovative plans that help a company grow. Early
- or growth-stage company experience preferred
- Must be highly proficient in English. Ability to speak other languages is preferred
