A Snapshot of Your Day

This role supports the Siemens Energy enterprise data management capability of “Ability of the data to be fit for purpose” and is responsible for ensuring the organization has the tools and skills/knowledge to resolve Data Quality issues. You know both the importance and fundamentals of Data Quality, and how they contribute to solving business problems. You will closely support the Data Quality Manager and Master and Reference Data workstream in their work to enable business teams to “fix their data foundations”

How You’ll Make an Impact / Responsibilities
- A key resource in the implementation of the chosen DQ tool.
- Support the Data Quality Manager with the assessment, improvement and governance of quality and ongoing fit-for-purpose of SE’s critical data assets
- Leverage the data quality framework to prioritize issues, agree on definitions and raise the visibility of data quality
- Engage with Data Domain Managers to quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues
- Work closely with Data Stewards to ensure the root cause of reported data issues is understood and underlying problems as well as associated symptoms are resolved
- Establish target goals for data quality improvement and identify optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues
- Conduct data profiling to support data quality issue remediation across SE
- Deliver data quality improvement initiatives as defined, agreed and prioritized
- Develop and monitor KPIs / metrics to optimize data quality
- Document and present methodologies, procedures, and project results to senior stakeholders across different functions
- Be aware of & understand emerging technologies and latest trends in the field of data quality

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities
- Technical skills in all areas of Data Quality Management, such as data profiling through low-code industry tools, SQL and dashboard reporting.
- Profound experience with data profiling tools, definition and execution of technical and business quality rules
- Min. 3 years recent experience in engineering solutions that enable DQ Management.
- Experience of developing data profiling routines and data quality scorecards
- Ability to support the technical rollout of a data quality tool.
- Knowledge of the elements of the ED&AA data governance capabilities and operating model, and how they will come together in the business to deliver value. In particular, data quality, data asset management (metadata etc), enterprise data modelling, data compliance
- Understanding of the Siemens Energy corporate strategy and the key business problems/opportunities of the organisation - either globally or in critical process areas
- Good admin and organizing skills for the creation of a well-run community
- Ability to work well in diverse teams and actively contribute to an inclusive team culture Flexibility and growth mindset, to change and grow as the team matures
- You are passionate about data and analytics, and driving data value across all parts of an organization and ecosystems
- You are C2 level in both spoken and written English, knowledge of German or any other language is a plus.
