QA Tester

**Role overview**:
We are looking for an experienced QA Tester to work in a scrum team based in Gran Canaria. The project is for a UK based company focused on helping businesses make better use of renewable energy.

The QA Tester will play an integral role in the development team process and be responsible for ensuring that features are robust and ready to play a crucial role in managing the energy usage of a number of businesses.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Test execution and reporting
- Test case design and documentation
- Identifying opportunities for automation
- Testing strategy
- Active Participation in Agile Ceremonies

**Skills**:

- Effective team-working and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an ability to think critically about system functionality and potential flaws
- Good written and oral communication, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from across the business
- Automated e2e testing frameworks (ideally cyprus)
- Tools: AzureDevops, Jira and Confluence

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in Agile/Scrum teams
- Understanding of software specification requirements, and the ability to interpret acceptance criteria and derive tests accordingly
- Experience in Utilities / Energy Sector is an advantage
- Previous exposure to C# and/or JavaScript is an advantage
