What do I need to qualify for this job?
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent professional background, combined with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience from a similar position within an international company. Experience in Wind industry is an added advantage.
- You have expert knowledge of large-scale Hydraulics & Cooling components.
- Deep knowledge in the functionality of the hydraulic & Cooling components.
- You have experience with machining technologies in regard to large-scale products and statistical process control.
- As a person you are self-driven, assertive and quality-oriented, and you have a structured approach to your tasks.
- You are a dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and you are capable of interfacing with numerous parties at all levels in a multicultural environment.
- You possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing. Moreover, you have profound IT skills, including SAP and Workspace.
- Please note that you should expect approximately 40 - 90 travel days per year in this position.

What are my responsibilities?
- Conducting supplier and product qualifications of Hydraulics & Cooling components for Wind turbines.
- Ensuring that the product and process quality of suppliers is compliant with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s requirements at all times
- Investigating, analyzing and correcting quality discrepancies in products and qualities of suppliers in order to minimize poor quality costs.
- Formulating an annual supplier strategy in relation to quality development and acting as the representative and liaison of the quality team.
- Representing the Supply Quality department within the Hydraulics & Cooling commodity team as well as during the annual supplier evaluation.
- Plans and executes Supplier Audits including follow-up of audit measures.
- Facilitating training and guidance for SQE colleagues in other countries.
- Guiding our Supplier Quality Inspectors in their daily work as needed.
- Involvement in design reviews in order to ensure and improve producible components
Establishes appropriate Quality control of delivered goods and services according to business and product risks.
- Issues complaint management process of detected non-conformances and runs root cause analysis. Communicates to supplier and quality management.
- Conducts Quality inspections at supplier site or incoming inspections. Closely cooperates with component engineering.
- Provides technology support for materials or products and elaborates testing specifications. Evaluates and reports on supplier performance and supports definitions of effective measures. Participates in quality meetings with suppliers.
- Implements SQM requirements regarding preventive actions, technical specifications and qualification of suppliers. Acts as SQA contact in cross-functional teams.
- Applies preventive quality methods aimed at risk minimization. Designs, maintains and improves specific Quality requirements, specifications and concepts based on supplier categorization.
- Qualifies and approves suppliers, in cooperation with purchasing/Procurement.
- Coordinates product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specification (Ready to order). Collaborates in the creation of technical specifications.
- Creates and negotiates Quality Assurance agreements and monitors implementation in supplier processes.
- Drives supplier performance and continuous improvement and collaborates in supplier development programs.
- Implements complaints managements to detect and analyze non-conformances and communicates with supplier. Supports sustainable problem solving.
- Supports standardized supplier qualification process according to corporate guidelines (Ready for business).
