Parques Reunidos is one of the leading, fastest-growing leisure park operators in the world. With 50 years’ experience, it owns and operates more than 60 parks across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Australia.
We are currently looking for a:
Communications Manager
Roles & Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities:
- Timely copyrwriting and updating of corporate website and blog with latest news, in liaison with parks (where most stories naturally originate) as well as central function leaders
Timely copywriting and updating of corporate website with relevant ESG communications as supplied by ESG team- Timely copywriting and updating of corporate Social Media (chiefly Linkedin) with news including ESG, in liaison with parks- Copywriting as needed for senior Execs speeches for relevant events- Central point for emergency communications, with regions now- Timely updating of Parques Reunidos Fundacion website as requested by Fundacion team
With Marketing Director ongoing tracking of earned media across all global parks, with related agency management/contracts- With Marketing Director sharing of best practices and advisory help to region/hub teams
**Requirements**:
**Education**:
Degree, most likely in Business/Marketing/Communications
Languages:
Spanish and English - fluent
German, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, French all advantageous but not required
Computer Skills
Work experience with Microsoft Office, ideally some experience of direct management of website (Wordpress, Square or similar)
Experience: role will best suit either a marketing executive with strong intellect/self-drive in early years of their career (1-4) OR potentially an existing employee in a different function looking to transition into marketing and commercial functions.
Others:
- High level of initiative and being able to work with low level of supervision- Excellent written communication skills- ‘Robust’ - role will involve direct contact with senior leaders and sometimes during management of emergency situations, need to be able to work under pressure when needed and ‘thick skinned’
Key relationships:
Customer Team - Chief Customer Officer, Marketing Director, Regional Customer Directors and Hub/Park Customer Directors and PR managers
Others - Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief HSE & Sustainability Officer, Regional Directors and Park General Managers
External: Web agency (though preference is we manage in-house)
