At Vivara, a vibrant and independent startup in Barcelona, we are on the lookout for a Frontend Engineer to join our incredible team. Backed by GCO, Vivara is all set to transform the rental management industry and bring a wave of confidence and ease to the housing rental game.

Your role will be instrumental in shaping Vivara's unique ecosystem, dexterously navigating the world of apartment hunting, and making perfect matches between landlords and tenants. With a strong focus on tailoring our approach to individual needs, we are determined to create a delightful rental experience for everyone and become the preferred choice in the premium rental market

**As a Frontend Engineer, you will own the frontend architectural workstreams and be the visionary drive. Working closely with a cross-functional and agile team, you will create a modular and scalable solutions that incorporates future architectural changes and designs.**

**What you will work on**
- Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
- Work closely with Backend Developers to understand and properly use the systems APIs
- Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
- Drive the teams engineering practices in test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment, and is a hands-on team member who coaches the team to solve complex problems

**Requirements**:

- Expertise in HTML, CSS (including LESS and SCSS), Dart, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive web design
- Mobile development experience with both native and web-to-native tooling and frameworks
- Familiarity with package managers like npm, task runners such as Gulp, Webpack, and Grunt, CSS processors like Sass and Stylus, and working with APIs, including WebSocket
- Ability to write high-quality, self-documenting code using test-driven development techniques
- Capable of writing effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests for quality assurance
- Experience working in agile and cross-functional teams, ideally in a startup environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills to find solutions to complex decisions
- Passion about technology, constant learning attitude, and growth mindset
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish
