The Madrid (Spain) Campus of Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, dedicated to student learning, research, services and healthcare, is seeking applicants for a full-time position of Network and Security Administrator.

Part of the IT Operations Team, the Network and Security Administrator plays a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all network and security hardware and software components, covering design, testing, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Oversee/participate in networking and security initiatives.
- Ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance across the network.
- Diagnose and promptly resolve network and security issues.
- Procure, deploy, and maintain switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and address any bottlenecks.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, analyze results, and implement necessary remediation measures.
- Collaborate with the Security team to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Work with other IT teams to resolve network and security-related issues as needed.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Native English.
- Intermediate-level Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Possess relevant IT certifications (Cisco CCNA desired, CompTIA Networking/Security+, etc.).
- At least 3 years of proven experience in similar roles.
- Able to legally work in Spain.

**Skills/Competencies**
- Deep understanding of the flow of packets within an enterprise network.
- Capability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with switches, routers, wireless access points, and next-gen firewalls.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (job requires interaction with teams in Spain, US, and India)
- Able to maintain calm in stressful situations.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, able to multitask and work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in security practices.
- Responsible, punctual, and motivated to learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00€ - 35,000.00€ per year
