**Position**:
**How does your job as Trial coordinator at Rijk Zwaan look like?**

As Trial coordinator you fulfill an essential role in developing pre-commercial trials network in consultation with breeders and RZ’s commercial partners. The Trial Coordinator is in charge of the organisation of external trials to obtain qualitative and quantitative data necessary to provide technical support to sales teams and breeding, for early product advancement and research project support.

Additionally, you are responsible for:

- Planning and executing trials;
- Execution of sowing and transplanting tasks.
- Visiting or arranging visits on a regular basis to the various trials;
- Report about trial activities to the Sales Manager / Managing Director and Crop Specialist;
- Following new developments in the market;
- Preparing an annual trial plan and trial budget;
- Acquire detailed knowledge of the regional market for all crops developed
- Keep close contact with the Sales eps, Crop Specialists and Crop Co-ordinator for the total co-ordination of the trials

You are a good organizer with an active and practical approach, orientated towards persevering and problem solving. Moreover, you are able to think and act independently while keeping the team results in mind. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, outstanding interpersonal skills and open mind. You have good communication skills and you are fluent in English, verbally and written.

In addition, we can find the following on your resume:

- a completed bachelor or University degree in the field of Horticulture;
- at least 3 years of relevant work experience and crop knowledge;
- knowledge of and experience with growing and assessing crop varieties.
