Summary: Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Exercise decision making and independent judgement due to a broader knowledge of the Materials Pulling operation, and provide on the job training and problem resolution to others.- Responsible for a higher volume, high dollar amount and/or be assigned responsibility over one or more specified areas.- Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.- Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.- Provides on the job training to lower level employees and resolves problems utilizing knowledge of shipping.- Operates material handling equipment such as, pallet jacks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.- Participates in routing, counting and inspecting items.- Secures cargo properly and safely with weight evenly distributed.- Participates in sending signals to order or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.- Ensure a safe working environment, good housekeeping and 5’s for your respective area and all of Ricon

- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
- Ability to make kit and small assemblies using some tools.
- Knowledge of record keeping practices.
- Ability to pull items read and print packing slips.
- Skill in lifting packages and objects.
- Ability to read assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of safety practices.
- Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment preferred not required.
- Ability to utilize computerized or automated systems to update accomplish tasks.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to follow instructions, and management directive.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); work related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
