**Key Duties**
- Contribute to research in scheduling support and optimization models for multicore timing analysis
- Contribute to research in safety and security in embedded critical systems
- Contribute to tracing support to read event monitors. This includes dealing with state-of-the-art tools/libraries.
- Ability to work with analytical models, simulators, and real boards for non-functional analyses in real-time systems, including but not limited to timing, thermal, energy, and security concerns.
- Coordinate other postdocs for the accomplishment of project-level research objectives
- Advise and mentor Bachelor and Master students on the abovementioned topics.
**Requirements**:
- Education
- Degree in Computer Sciences
- PhD in Computer Sciences (with specialization in timing and schedulability analyses and optimization of Embedded critical real-time systems)
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Recognized experience in real-time and embedded systems design, development and analysis
- Demonstrated experience in schedulability analysis and multi-objective (timing, thermal and energy) scheduling optimizations for multicore in real-time systems
- Demonstrated experience working with analytical models, simulators, or real boards in the embedded domain
- Expertise in advising and mentoring Bachelor and Master students
- Long track record of publications in the topics covered by the position
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Some knowledge on safety and security challenges and solutions in critical embedded systems
- Good verbal communication skills in English
- Competences
- Capacity to interact and build strong relations with other research groups
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines pressure
**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department

- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
