**Your role and work environment**:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance Team.

The responsibility of this team is to support ING Bank in Spain in being compliant with applicable laws, regulations and reasonable expectations of society at large as well as being the preferred bank for its clients by ensuring that it does the right things, the right way with integrity. This entails that every employee within ING Bank respect the letter and spirit of applicable laws, regulations, as well as policies, standards and the internal values and behaviors defined by the Orange Code and our way of working is with key internal stakeholders and offer an environment which provides a global overview on how the regulatory requirements and controls are embedded within the business, and provides an opportunity to support relationships with external stakeholders, regulators and supervisory institutions as well as the global functions at Head office.

**Your key responsibilities**:
As a Compliance Analyst you will:
Positively contribute to:

- Analysis of current and future regulations and their implementation.
- The monitoring of compliance with regulations and applicable policies and procedures (local and Group) and the reporting of incidents in the area of Financial Economic Crime.
- Optimization of the control environment in collaboration with the MLRO and the Head of Compliance, including training and awareness initiatives in this field.
- Definition and execution of 2nd line of defense controls on processes and procedures carried out by the first line of defense in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
- The analysis of new initiatives in the organization with the aim of identifying possible risks and the measures to be implemented, as well as the monitoring of initiatives already implemented.
- Participating in the preparation of Compliance Manuals: summary of relevant and applicable laws and regulations; as well as action policies and procedures and their periodic review.
- Advice on compliance matters for the rest of the organization, focusing on AML/CTF.
- Liaison tasks between the regulatory bodies and the entity.
- Carrying out special analyses of potentially suspicious operations for submission to the supervisor.

Also contributing:

- You perform quality assurance processes on two different fronts: i) independent testing of the 1st and 2nd line monitoring so to assure the quality of the controls in place, and ii) independent review of the compliance processes on a risk based approach through thematic, process and continuous QA;
- You execute tests/reviews and elaborate results from different Key Control Testing (KCT) and QA initiatives and provide consolidated reporting to Business Line Compliance and Group Compliance, as required and in line with Compliance Monitoring and QA methodology, processes and formats;
- You are responsible to perform a priority assessment and to contribute to a local Monitoring Plan which includes KCT SLM Testing and QA activities, the execution of the plan and the articulation of areas of improvement and best practices (QA activities include: Thematic Review, Continuous Monitoring, and Process Reviews);

For us, a Compliance Analyst is someone who:
Knows about:

- Compliance or Risk and Control Management, being required a Bachelor Degree
- Products, processes and regulation related to retail and wholesale banking
- Analysis and implementation of local regulation

Is a master of:

- Solid knowledge of banks’ processes & products
- Knowledge of applicable regulation focused in AML/TF

Is an ace in:

- Team playing, being capable of working in international teams, but also independently if needed
- Delivering within a fast-paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Communication and presentation skills
- Written and spoken english
- Being proactive and creative

Has worked in:

- A comparable role in a AML/FT within the financial sector or a consultancy firm, with at least 3 years of experience.
