**Job Summary**
This role provides transports Survitec people or products in a safe and timely manner to meet operational and customer need. It carries out routine vehicle safety checks and cleaning duties.
**Duties and responsibilities**

- Maps out driving routes in advance to determine the most expedient trip, using local knowledge to account for regular congestion and to adapt routes to temporary blockages and issues. Listens to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions
- Carries out vehicle inspection at start of shift, identifying and booking in any ad hoc maintenance issues; ensures the vehicle is clean and fit for use. Books vehicle in for planned maintenance and cleaning
- Collects people or products at designated place and time, ensuring vehicle is loaded safely and within legal limits. Transports people or products to allotted destination
- Completes associated paperwork, noting accurate mileage
- Drives with due care and attention, observing all national and local road instructions
- Maintains a clean driving licence, alerting operational managers to any traffic offences or incidents as needed
- Represents Survitec professionally during interactions with customers or the members of the public
- Develops knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtains authorisation from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure
- Follows Survitec Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; identifies and mitigates risks to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of self and others
- Develops and maintains an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education and reading specialist materials

**Experience and qualification**
Clean driving licence applicable for the respective country
1-3 years of job-related experience enables the role holder to deal with most situations
No formal management experience is required for this role
