**Job Description Summary**: Join our team as Senior Systems Engineer for our Offshore Wind product range. You will be leading all aspects of the engineering efforts to meet requirements by ensuring alignment within engineering disciplines, negotiating, collaborating and influencing both internally and externally with our clients.

In your role a Senior System Engineer you will be the main owner for the requirements of the wind turbine or a subsystem and achievement of CTQs through the design, taking system level trades and decisions further you will contribute to define and improve our requirement management process.
- Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, from requirements definition through design and development, validation and product life-cycle support.
- You are responsible to translate high level market and product requirements into technical system requirements and flow-down of system level requirements to component level requirements (cost, reliability, performance, RAMS, etc.), configuration & life-cycle management.
- Own the technical quality of the overall wind turbine product.
- Lead and/or oversee system conceptual design studies and trade-offs that address product CTQs such as cost, power performance, noise, reliability & operability.
- Establish design strategies, contribute to multi-generation system and technology plans in conjunction with Platform and Sub-system Managers.
- Demonstrate effective risk mitigation and technical problem solving.
- Work closely with the Chief Engineering Office across the business and global team members to ensure high quality and consistency on systems design and trade off decisions.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience working in wind turbine product development and technologies
- Expert knowledge on wind turbine component design criteria and wind turbine systems integration
- Conceptual design and system-level trade-off experience
- Field issues, test and/or validation experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making.
- Experience in wind Turbine Certification Processes
