**Research assistant**

**Cerebral Amyloidosis line of research at the Neurovascular Diseases research**

**group**

Our group at the Neurovascular Research Lab studies the link between neurodegeneration and neurovascular

dysfunction through in vivo and in vitro methodologies, including the use of transgenic amyloidosis mouse

models, as well as human brain and plasma/CSF samples. Our aim is to explore the vascular contribution to

the β-amyloidosis pathophysiology in order to provide new drug targets and diagnostic approaches for cerebral

amyloid angiopathy and other pathologies associated with cerebral β-amyloid deposition, such as Alzheimer’s

disease.

- PhD and Master degree in Neurosciences

**Experience and knowledge**:

- Strong background in biostatistics.
- Proven experience in working with cell cultures.
- Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, self-motivation and social skills as key personal abilities.

- Experience in neurodegeneration and cerebrovascular fields.

**Main responsibilities and duties**:

- Coordinate the recruitment, storage and handling of sample human cohorts.
- Experimentation using cell culture models, gene and protein analysis, assays using confocal microscopy, etc.
- Elaboration of reports.

**Labour conditions**:

- Part-time position: 25h/week.
- Starting date: October 2023
- Gross annual salary: 14264,51 euros
