**The Institute**
The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the Institute's commitment to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code).

**The role**
**About the lab**
The lab is a relatively small - about ten members - interdisciplinary and highly collaborative structure. We specialize in the development of comparative methods for genomics data but also have a strong interest in the development of behavioural data comparisons and analysis. Two of our most visible output have been the T-Coffee multiple aligners and the Nextflow pipeline language.

**Must Have**
- You have a background in Computer Science engineering
- You have knowledge in the development of deep learning methods
- You have and PhD in Bioinformatics and an academic track record in this field
- You have proven experience data analysis
- You have a proven track record at implementing and deploying genomics pipelines
- You are fluent in English
**Education and training**
- You hold a Phd in Bioinformatics
- You hold an engineering degree
**Languages**
- You are proficient in English
**Technical skills**
- You are proficient in Python, tensorflow, C++
- You are familiar with HPC, cloud computing and Nextflow
- You have a good understanding of deep learning methods
**Competences**
- Highly developed organizational skills
- Leadership capacities
**The Offer - Working Conditions**

- **Estimated annual gross salary**: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
