We are pleased to inform you that the British Council School in Madrid, Spain, is advertising for the post of **School Nurse.** This post will be a **temporary**, **part-time** local contract starting on **September 2024**, covering a maternity leave.
The contract will be for **29.5 weekly hours**, from 10:00 to 15:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10:00 to 17:15 with a 30 minute lunch break on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Role purpose and Context
The School Nurse will be a member of the school nursing team and work as part of the team responsible for the school’s Health Department for children from 2 to 18, across all sections.
The School Nurse will provide clinically skilled and individualised care to pupils, and on occasion, to staff and visitors. The School Nurse will have regular duties relating to the general pastoral and intimate care of pupils, and will be part of the team responsible for on-site Health and Safety which will include risk assessments. He/she will contribute to the Quality of Experience of all children supporting wellbeing in general.

Language Requirements
English and Spanish language ability: Proficient in Spanish. English (spoken and written level B2 in CEFR or equivalent). Relevant language certifications/experience
to be indicated in Application Form and CV. Language Tests may be required. If no certifications are available, employee may be hired conditional to the achievement of the required level certification within a 12 month period.
