As Team Lead Regulatory Affairs South Europe (d/f/m) you will create, drive and deliver RWE’s positioning in its renewables markets (Onshore, Solar PV & Offshore) in South Europe with a specific focus on Onshore and Solar PV - currently notably mainly in France, Spain, Italy. You will lead a team of at the moment seven team members. In addition, you will centrally coordinate and prepare RWE Offshore Wind and RWE Renewables Europe & Australia’s board members for external events and stakeholder meetings in all markets.
**Your future plans**
- You lead regulatory affairs managers in their daily work, allocate work packages and help prioritizing across the team. Giving guidance, ensuring quality of work as well as coordinating on overarching topics therefore play an important role in your job
- Furthermore, you enable team members to gain local market and political insights to assess implications for RWE. The aim behind that is to build up RWE positions on key regulatory topics and facilitate knowhow exchange between markets
- You distill regulatory intelligence into key messages, summarize major new policies and political developments including the report back to internal stakeholders (up to Board level), both verbally and written in clear, concise language
- In your function as a Team Lead you represent RWE externally with government representatives, in association meetings, consultation processes, etc. if adequate
- A further task is the anticipation of potential risks due to market regulatory framework changes, media and public opinion for project development as well as potential acquisitions
- You not only organize overview on relevant renewables conferences and external events but also coordinate participation with the RWE Offshore Wind and RWE Renewables Europe & Australia board in Europe and APAC. You are happy to prepare the relating briefings
- Working constructively in a dynamic team environment with different RWE functions to support the development of renewables projects from inception to full commercial operation is self-evident to you
- Another important topic is the planning and execution of long term strategy for the team on how to further develop the function to contribute even more to RWEs goals. In this context, you work with the team on the necessary skillset for the job and the mid to longterm development path of the team members
**Your profile**
- You have a degree in Economics / Politics / Law / Business / Communications or comparable required, post-graduate degree is a plus
- Furthermore, you convince us with long-year relevant work experience including solid experiences within the renewables sector. That means you have Stakeholder management experience with exposure to issues relevant to renewable energy development
- General knowledge of energy regulation in minimum one of the South European markets
- Strong background in market and regulatory analysis
- Background in communication and/or political affairs
- Leading a team in an international environment is nothing new to you. You enjoy using your fluent English skills in daily business life. Further languages are welcomed, but not a must
