**What do we do?**
FOSSA has verticalized the manufacturing process of satellites, space operations and ground segment services, with an operations and production centre in Madrid together with a global network of satellites in orbit and satellite control stations.
FOSSA is combining technology miniaturization with mass production techniques to launch a network of 80 satellites to orbit. FOSSA launches a higher number of distributed satellite constellations at a fraction of the cost of a traditional single satellite. Lower satellite costs and shorter development times allow the use of more cutting-edge technology which is competitive with existing solutions.
**Who are we looking for?**
We are currently looking for a Telecommunications Department Manager to join our telecommunications engineering team. This person will oversee and coordinate the work of the department, reporting directly to the Engineering Director. He/she will be in contact with the rest of the Engineering departments managers to work in coordination with them, on multiple projects. You will have technical and management responsibilities, for which you will need to have great hard and soft skills.

**Responsibilities**:
- Telecommunication Department Management, task segmentation, planning and progress oversee.
- Representation of the Telecommunications development effort on multi-department management meetings.
- Review and acceptance of department technical outputs.
- Definition and implementation of document templates and standards for organization and reporting.
- Department internal affairs responsible, priorities distribution, vacation periods coordination, supply chain requests.
- Periodic reports to the Director of Engineering.
**Profile requirements**:
- Graduate in Telecommunications engineering or similar.
- At least 2 years of professional experience on telecommunications engineering.
- Experience on RF electronics simulation and design, implementation and testing of power amplifiers, filters, LNAs,
- Experience on RF COTS and specialized components trade-off analysis.
- Knowledge on satellite telecommunications link budget calculations.
- Knowledge on antennae simulation, design and characterization.
- Management skills.
- Full professional competence in English.
**Nice to have**:
- Having developed personal related projects.
- Demonstrable interest on space sector activities.
- Previous experience on RF device testing and use of specialized lab equipment.
- C/C++ and Python programming experience.
- Experience in soldering SMD components.
