**Title: MEP Assistant Cost Manager / MEP Cost Manager**
**Division: Quantity Surveying**

**Specialism: Mechanical & Electrical / MEP**
**Location: Europe (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Madrid are the preferred locations, with Hybrid Working)**
**Reporting to: Senior Associate / Partner**

**Department Overview**:
Our Cost Management Team at RLB proactively manages the cost of a building project, from the initial design stages through to the building’s completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation once the building is up and running. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service to our clients and enjoy long term relationships with a large majority.

We are a sector focused business actively operating and investing in Commercial, Data Centre, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Life Sciences and Retail clients and projects. Surveyors work in close contact with the client, advising them on financial and legal matters that arise during the project.

As part of our wider expansion in the UK and Europe, RLB’s specialist MEP Cost Management team is growing at a fast pace. Our team provides a quality approach to deliver demanding, high value and complex projects. We are now seeking experienced MEP Cost Managers at this exciting stage of the team’s expansion, establishing a leadership team to become the future market leaders in the UK & European market.

**Overview of Role**:
We are currently recruiting MEP Cost Manager and Assistant Cost Managers to join our client focused team. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen RLB’s MEP Cost Management offering while working in a supportive environment, on interesting projects while progressing your career.

The role presents an opportunity to work across principally Data Centre projects but also Commercial, Hospitality and Life Sciences projects among others in the future as the team continues to develop and RLB’s European Cost Management offering grows. The focus of the role being the MEP aspects of Cost Management.

The role also offers a platform to develop and opportunities to progress while working alongside a diverse and impressive team.

There are possible opportunities to travel, as RLB are currently working with various clients across Europe.

**Person Specification**:

- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
- Some experience of Quantity Surveying or Cost Management or experience within another similar technical discipline
- Good understanding of how to read Mechanical or Electrical designs, schematics and specifications.
- Client facing, ensuring a high standard of delivery.
- Able to build long-term relationships.
- Previously employed by a consultancy, contractor, or client-side organisation
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines.
- A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic, and ambitious
- English language skills are a must and German, French or Italian is a plus.
