**Position Summary**:
Responsible for oversight of business and project operations, directing and implementing various aspects of business operations and development activities including contracting, proposals, quality and performance metrics, and project management processes.

**The Role**:

- Develop full service project plans for portfolio of studies and subsequently lead cross functional study teams in accordance with contractual timelines, client specifications and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).
- Operate at the forefront in this exciting field, supporting CNS studies
- Effectively lead study budgets to ensure financial targets are met through regular review of indirect costs and project resources
- Inspire and develop your team through people management; co-ordinate study activities against targets, provide coaching and mentoring to Project Managers
- Demonstrate your executive presence, delivering updates on the portfolio to senior management
- Building an environment to enable employees, add towards our culture and engage with the group success
- Manage development; provide direction and support, and mentor PMs/PDs and/or their managers as needed
- Provide technical support and guidance (including scope definition, risk identification and mitigation, resource planning, goals and deliverables) to assigned PM staff
- Plan capacity across new/existing PM/PD resources and secure needed resources whilst optimizing staff utilization/recovery
- Keeps Global VP, PM, business sponsors, business-unit leadership and all stake-holders regularly informed of project/program progress, risks and issues through periodic reporting
- Ensure all necessary training is provided to assigned staff to improve their job performance and knowledge
- In conjunction with colleagues and senior management, responsible for setting agenda and developing training philosophy for ICON PM Group, including successful execution throughout the team
- Ensure team alignment with cross-functional leadership goals and company initiatives
- Measure and report PM KPls and lead continuous improvement
- Contribute to the ICON PMO model built on strong teamwork, frequent and transparent inter and intra divisional communication, continuous process improvement, metrics management and global team harmonization
- Act as the key client contact for designated clinical projects/programs, and develop successful relationships with clients to drive increased volume of business. This includes active participation in client operations committee or executive committees as necessary.
- Demonstrate understanding of drug development including planning and delivery for a product (drug asset) through multiple phases of development.
- Other duties as assigned

**You will need**:

- A minimum of a completed Bachelor’s Degree
- Therapeutic experience across Neuroscience or CNS/Rare Disease indications.
- Minimum of 10 years Project Management experience
- Ability to lead large, global cross functional projects; strong domestic and international project management experience
- Proven track record of managing a complex portfolio of projects within CNS/Rare Disease
- High level of integrity and can inspire to the demands of the highest standards from a professional and ethical perspective
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
