The Ocean Race Museum, established in 2012, captivates visitors with the race saga and nautical innovations from 1973 to today. Immerse in human endeavor through interactive exhibits, games, and scale models. A substantial part of the museum focuses on marine ecosystems and advocates for ocean health.

Apart from self-guided tours, The Ocean Race Museum provides guided visits, simulator experiences, race boat exploration, and on-site shopping for regatta merchandise and Helly Hansen apparel. Exclusive Race Control tours are available, and weekly activities include school visits, public events, birthdays, and corporate events.

It's worth noting that The Ocean Race Museum ranks as the 9th out of 245 activities on Tripadvisor's list of "Things to Do in Alicante"

The organization's offices are situated in the same building as the museum, serving as the global headquarters for coordinating the race worldwide, spanning various departments such as events, sustainability, commercial, marketing, and race management. During the last race, the team consisted of around 120 individuals from over 30 different nationalities

Currently, we are actively seeking two Museum Coordinators, one Store Coordinator, and several Front Desk Coordinators to cover specific days.

**Winter Schedule - 25 Sept - 25 June**:

- Wednesday - Thursday: 10.00 - 16.00h
- Friday - Saturday: 10.00 - 18.00h
- Sunday: 10.00 - 14.00h

**Summer Schedule - 26 June - 24 Sept**:

- Wednesday, Sunday: 11.00 - 15.00
- Thursday, Friday - Saturday: 11.00 - 19.00h

**Museum Coordinator - Guide**

Our Museum Coordinator - Guide will play a pivotal role in designing and executing the guided tours to our exceptional Museum. The responsibilities include designing and executing the guided tours, managing the Museum installations, planing and promoting Museum activities, among other tasks.

**Design, develop, and conduct guided tours**:

- Design, plan, and coordinate museum visits for both the permanent and temporary exhibits such as other parts of the installations, catering to individual visitors and groups.
- Propose enhancements to the exhibition presentation and updates to the exhibit narrative.

**Museum Facility Management**:

- Oversee the opening and closing of Museum facilities, including managing lights, windows, blinds, doors, and other access points.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of facilities, equipment, furniture, and the building, advising the maintenance team.

**Development, Management, Planning, and Promotion of Museum Activities**:

- Drive promotion, planning, and organization of activities to boost visitor attendance.
- Execute school outreach plans, scheduling visits with various entities.
- Collaborate with The Ocean Race for workshop design and execution.
- Manage an activities outreach plan, encouraging collateral use of museum spaces.
- Coordinate third-party events, aiding guests in space utilization.
- Establish a database, send communications, and contribute to museum promotion across digital and analog platforms to enhance visitor numbers.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Support other team members with welcoming visitors and ticket sales, merchandise sales, or assistance in the museum, as required.
- Provide assistance to The Ocean Race central team (event) when needed

Minimum requirements
- Strong communication skills and experience in customer service.
- Have the Carnet de Guia de Turismo.
- Academic background in tourism, education, sports, events, or related fields is highly valued.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is a requirement, and knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with event management and group activity coordination.
- Competent in using office tools.
- Social media competencies.
- Proactive and positive mindset.
- Commitment to the company.
