A job opportunity has arisen for a Power Plant Stress Engineer within Airbus Defense & Space to be based on Getafe.

The main activities of a Stress Engineer are related with supporting design on delivering technical solutions for building, testing and delivering aircrafts, including but not limited to:

- Composite and metallic components sizing and justifications (use of Finite Element Models and Airbus D&S tools for the Reserve Factor calculations) associated to current programs
- Communications and support to different departments to find solutions and propose improvements of the design
- Structural modifications management and justifications
- Support to manufacturing and assembly process
- Risk assessments justifications for in service events

It is a dynamic area, leading digital product innovation and LEAN Design, team working with an AGILE mindset, adding value within Design Office activities in production and in service.

Required Competences & Skills:
**- Degree in **Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanics)**

**- A minimum of **1 years of professional experience as Stress Engineer **on aircraft design activities**
- Knowledge and experience in CATIA/3DX and PDM/PLM Tools, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...)
- Motivated, proactive and team dynamic player
- Committed in their own development to learn new skills

**- Fluent in Writing and Spoken **English **(B2 level or higher)**

**- Fluent in Writing and Spoken **Spanish**

Desired Competences & Skills
- Knowledge of aircraft systems & structures
- Knowledge of repairs and customer queries solving
