Local Unit & Position Description:
Area Iberia, Italy & Malta is part of the Maritime Region West Europe. The Area includes all operational classification business and consist of ~60 employees in eleven locations. The Area operates with two Service Lines, NB and CMC/VMC, while the FiS Service Line is organised as part of business unit FiS West Europe.

We are looking for a CMC/ VMC Surveyor to join our CMC & NB team in Spain, reporting to the local Service Line Manager.

**Main responsibilities**:
Our customers requiring a wide range of certification skills and knowledge. From materials and welding to highly sophisticated machinery systems (gears, thrusters, compressors) to pressure vessels and pumps to electrical installations and automation systems.

From this traditional background, we started a journey covering also advanced future technology. Fuel cells, new types of turbines, advanced electrical drives, and lithium batteries for ship propulsion.
- Certification and verification of materials and components underclass and non-class related systems and processes mainly Basque Country, Cantabria, and Asturias
- Managing our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization
- Project-orientated work - cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects

Position Qualifications:

- Master/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering (or other relevant disciplines)
- Experience in CMC/VMC activities beneficial
- Valid driver license required and acceptable driving record meeting company requirements
- Depending on technical profile, we will be willing to support your competence development to obtain the necessary MTAS elements
