**Project description**

Airbus UpNext has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to demonstrate the potential of a sustainable power generation source used onboard the aircraft. This demonstrator will have a crucial role in determining the potential of hydrogen as an energy source in aviation.

This position is within the **Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain **and you are accountable for supporting and contributing to the execution strategy, organization, operations and performance of the Industrialisation.

**Mission**

The demonstrator will integrate complex systems including power generation, electrical distribution and conversion, fuel storage and distribution, pneumatic and thermal systems. Those systems will include novel technologies for aviation, and will be integrated in a new system with new operational constraints. In order to validate and verify these systems, dedicated test means will be developed for this purpose.

The role of the Test Engineer will be to ensure execution of all the verification activities for the laboratory test, to participate in ground and flight testing campaigns and to contribute to design, development and validation of necessary test means.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Execute the definition of the overall test benches architecture based on test requirements.
- Participate in the design, development and validation of the laboratory test means defined for each of the subsystems and the overall system integration bench.
- Oversee the detailed definition of the instrumentation that will be installed on the test means based on the associated specification.
- Participate on the definition and design of the test means and tools used on the flight test aircraft such as data acquisition and monitoring systems.
- Design the subsystem and integration test cases associated with each of the test requirements.
- Run the subsystem and integration laboratory test cases.
- To analyze test results, create problem reports and generate the test verification summary
- To participate in the flight test clearance process by providing necessary verification evidence from testing activities.

**_What you bring: _**

You are able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

- At least 3 years’ experience in testing activities and associated instrumentation, including laboratory, ground and flight tests
- Knowledge of different aircraft platforms and systems, including control,display and monitoring systems
- Background in aircraft system design is a plus
- Master degree in Engineering
- Keen to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
- Ready to step out of your comfort zone

You will work very closely cross-functionally with the Airbus Teams, as well as external stakeholders. You have great collaborative skills, with a good understanding of interface management and practical problem solving.
