Ait Manager

**MISSION**

The AIT Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of the Assembly, Integration and Test activities definition, preparation and execution of the Instrument, Payloads and Satellites Programmes in the frame of the Spacecraft Production Spain organization with the support of its different Spacecraft Production and Supporting Functions areas. The AIT Manager has a technical, development and programmatic interface with the Engineering and Programmes lines.

This position is issued to cover the AIT Manager role in SMILE PLM Programme (ESA Mission).

**MAIN ACTIVITIES**:

- Management of the Instruments, Payloads and Satellite AIT activities to ensure the On Quality, On Time, On Cost deliveries according to commitments.
- Support the co-engineering process during preliminary and detailed design phases for the Development Plan, Model Philosophy, Design to AIT and Verification Process definition.
- Definition and maintenance of the Instrument / Payloads and Satellites AIT Plans.
- Interface with Engineering to manage the AIT contribution to the Test Specification development.
- Coordinate and manage the AIT Mechanical, Electrical, Functional and RF engineering and execution activities definition, optimization and implementation.
- Coordinate and manage the GSE architecture definition, specification and development follow-up.
- Coordinate and manage the Test Facilities requirements specification and technical interface follow-up and support the procurement process.
- AIT activities coordination, planning and cost control.
- Interface with the Programme for changes management.
- AIT resources plan definition and maintenance.
- Support Logistics and mange Critical Transports
- Instrument / Payloads and Satellites Environmental Test Campaign coordination and management.
- Satellites Launch Campaign coordination and management.
- Participation in formal reviews with the Costumer.
- Monitoring and reporting the execution of the AIT plan

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KOWLEDGE**
- Educational Background: Engineer
- Several years of experience in Instrument, Payloads and Satellites production.
- Technical knowledge in Instrument, Payloads and Satellites AIT activities and processes.
- Change management experience
- Experience in cost, planning, and resources management.
- Experience in dealing with the Customer and Customer satisfaction mindset.
- Leadership skills, team management experience, and capability to work in close cooperation with other teams.
- Analysis and decision making capabilities in multidisciplinary and complex context.
- Quality-oriented, improvement and innovative mind-set, team spirit and good communication skills
- Knowledge of Quality standards.
- Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Flexible working time in normal shift but occasionally early/late/night shifts may be required.
- It may be required to work during weekend in very specific situations.
- Time flexibility is required.
- Flexibility to work abroad during specific AIT phases

- Capable to work autonomously and proactively with responsibility and integrity.
- Capable to work in several projects of different complexity managing the own and team workload
- Capable to work in an organized and ordered manner complying with the Company AIT, Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
- Mid-career (more than 5 years of experience)
