Accounting Intern

Description

We are currently looking for a dynamic and proactive person to join our amazing Finance department The Accounting Intern requires attention to detail, high accuracy, and strong verbal and written communication skills. He/She must be organized with good time management, and able to work on their own initiative.
The Accountancy Intern will join us for a month to up to help us to update our accountancy system, he/she needs to be able to start in the following days, work from our nice headquarters in the Port of Alicante 20 hours per week.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
The Accounting Intern will provide support to the Finance Department undertaking clerical tasks, including but not limited to:

- Data entry, and daily accounting on the accountancy software.
- Other general finance tasks such as payments reconciliations between others.

The Accounting Intern will perform daily accounting tasks and provide support to our Finance Department reporting to the Accountant.

Depending on the workload, The Ocean Race will consider keeping the Accountancy Intern for a bigger period.

Minimum requirements
- Be able to be part of the internship program with the University.
- Finance, Economics or Business Administration Degree at a Spanish University.

**Other requirements**:

- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
- High English level, written and spoken.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
- Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software will be valued.
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Organization skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
